The 25th International Experimental Archaeology Festival “Days of Living Archaeology in Kernavė” invites you on a journey through time!
From July 4–6, the archaeological site of Kernavė will return to the legendary times of our ancestors. Visitors will enjoy three days of unforgettable experiences, adventures, and untamed history. This year’s festival puts a special emphasis on ancient tribes and cultures—each guest will have the chance to connect with their primordial roots, feel the spirit of the ancestors, and explore their heritage.
“Days of Living Archaeology” is not only a festival showcasing traditional ancient crafts and archaic ways of life, but also the largest open-air celebration of Statehood Day—the coronation of King Mindaugas, Lithuania’s first and only king.
For its jubilee 25th edition, the festival in KernavÄ— will host around 500 ancient craft masters, medieval warriors, musicians, and scholars, all ready to immerse you in the past.
On the beautiful mounds of Kernavė, you’ll find:
● The ethereal voices of “Baltos Varnos”, flown in from the clouds
â—Ź Songs of strength from the men’s group “Ugniavijas”
● “Sutartronica”, the project electrifying folklore
● The rhythm-driven “Baltic Balkan”, uniting Baltic and Balkan tribes in dance
● The spectacular dance drama “Mindaugas”
â—Ź And many more performances!
